1.Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Tela collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you use the Tela mobile application, related websites, creator tools, video-session features, customer support channels, and other services that link to this Policy, collectively referred to as the Services.
Tela is a creator community designed for adults to discover photo and video posts, publish original work, support creators through Lights and virtual gifts, and, where available, request paid one-to-one creator video sessions. This Policy applies to viewers, creators, creator applicants, purchasers, payout recipients, and other adult users of the Services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. Where consent is the legal basis for processing, Tela will request consent separately and you may withdraw it as described below. This Policy does not replace any just-in-time notice presented for a specific permission, verification step, or feature.
2.Who Is Responsible for Your Information
For purposes of applicable data protection law, the entity that operates Tela is the controller or business responsible for personal information processed through the Services, unless a feature-specific notice identifies another controller.
Questions, privacy requests, and complaints may be sent to service@tela.love. Please use the subject line Privacy Request and include enough information for us to identify your account and understand the request. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or unnecessary identity documents by email.
Where local law requires a data protection representative or similar contact, the applicable details will be made available within the Services or in a regional notice.
3.Adult Eligibility and Age Assurance
Tela is intended exclusively for people who are at least 18 years old. You must not create an account or use the Services if you are under 18, or if a higher minimum age is required for the Services in your location.
We may request a date of birth, age declaration, identity information, or age-estimation and verification signals to enforce this restriction. We may also review reports and account activity that reasonably indicate a user is underage. If we determine or reasonably suspect that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may restrict or terminate the account and delete associated information, subject to legal, safety, and evidence-preservation obligations.
A parent, guardian, or other person who believes that a minor has provided information to Tela should contact service@tela.love and provide the account identifier or other information reasonably needed to locate the account.
4.Information You Provide Directly
We collect information that you submit when creating or managing an account, applying for creator access, publishing content, participating in creator sessions, completing purchases, receiving payouts, submitting reports, or contacting support. Depending on the feature, this may include:
- Account information, such as email address, phone number, login credentials, date of birth, country or region, preferred language, and account identifiers.
- Profile information, such as display name, username, biography, profile image, interests, links, and creator categories.
- Content and interaction information, such as photos, videos, captions, drafts, comments, reactions, follows, saved posts, Lights, gifts, reports, appeals, and other submissions.
- Creator application information, such as legal name, age evidence, verification materials, creator profile details, payout eligibility information, and declarations regarding rights in content.
- Customer support and survey information, including the contents of communications, attachments, feedback, and any information you choose to provide.
- Transaction and payout information described in Section 8.
5.Creator Verification and Facial Information
To help confirm that creators are real adults and to reduce impersonation, fraud, and unsafe conduct, Tela may require creator applicants or selected account holders to complete identity, age, or liveness verification. The verification screen will describe the specific information required before collection.
Verification materials may include a selfie photograph, a short selfie video, facial imagery, liveness signals, a government-issued identification document, document authenticity signals, date of birth, and the resulting verification status. Depending on the method used, a contracted verification provider may process these materials on Tela's behalf.
Tela uses verification information only to assess adult eligibility, confirm that a real person is present, compare a selfie with an identity document where applicable, prevent duplicate or fraudulent creator accounts, investigate impersonation, meet payment or legal requirements, and handle verification appeals. We do not publish raw verification materials, use them to rank posts, infer interests, target advertising, or identify you across unrelated services.
Where a verification process generates biometric identifiers, face geometry, or similar sensitive data, Tela will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by law before processing. Raw selfies, selfie videos, identity-document images, and biometric templates are retained only for the time needed to complete verification and a limited security or appeal period, unless a longer period is required to investigate fraud, preserve evidence, or comply with law. Verification status, date, method, and limited audit records may be retained while the account is active and for the applicable post-closure period described in Section 19.
You may request deletion of verification information by contacting us. Deleting information needed to establish creator eligibility may remove creator status, payout access, or other verified features. We may retain limited evidence where necessary to comply with law, defend legal claims, or protect users from fraud and abuse.
6.User-Generated Content and Public Information
Tela collects and stores the content you create, upload, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Services. User-generated content, or UGC, may include profile information, photos, videos, audio contained in videos, captions, comments, replies, thumbnails, post metadata, topic tags, and reports or appeals associated with content.
Content you publish to a public or community-facing area may be visible to other users and may be indexed, reshared through features you enable, captured by other users, or accessible outside Tela where sharing tools or public links are available. Your username, profile image, creator status, engagement counts, and related post information may appear with published content.
We process UGC to host and deliver it, generate technical versions such as thumbnails or compressed media, provide captions or accessibility features, recommend content, measure engagement, enforce rules, respond to intellectual property notices, and protect the community. Human reviewers and automated systems may review UGC for safety, integrity, quality, and policy compliance.
You retain the rights you hold in your UGC. The permissions Tela needs to host, display, distribute, moderate, and operate the Services are addressed in the Terms of Service. Deleting a post removes it from active display, but copies may remain temporarily in backups, in content previously shared by others, or where retention is required for safety, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.
7.Communications and Creator Video Sessions
When you request, schedule, join, or complete a one-to-one creator video session, Tela may process the participants' account identifiers, booking information, price, payment status, scheduled time, session duration, connection events, device and network quality, cancellation status, safety reports, and related support communications.
Audio and video streams may be transmitted through Tela's real-time communication infrastructure or a contracted communications provider. Tela does not record or store the content of private creator video sessions by default. If a recording feature is offered, all participants will receive clear notice and any consent required by law will be obtained before recording begins.
We may retain limited session metadata and diagnostic logs to deliver the session, calculate entitlements or creator earnings, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, respond to safety reports, and improve call reliability. Users must not make unauthorized recordings or disclose private session content in violation of law, the Terms of Service, or another person's rights.
8.Purchases, Lights, Gifts, and Creator Earnings
Tela may collect information about purchases of digital items or services, Lights sent to posts, virtual gifts, video-session bookings, refunds, chargebacks, transaction status, virtual balances, creator earnings, payout history, and eligibility restrictions.
Purchases made through an app marketplace are generally processed by the marketplace. Tela may receive a transaction identifier, product purchased, purchase date, storefront or country, receipt or verification token, refund status, and other information needed to confirm the purchase, but does not receive the full payment-card number used by the marketplace.
Creators who qualify for payouts may be asked to provide legal name, address, date of birth, tax information, bank or payment-account details, identity evidence, and other information required by a payout provider, financial institution, or law. Payment and payout providers process information under their own privacy notices and may act as independent controllers for regulated activities.
We use transaction information to provide purchased features, maintain balances, calculate creator shares, issue payouts, maintain accounting and tax records, detect payment abuse, and handle customer support or legal claims.
9.Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Services, Tela and its service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information. This information may be associated with your account, device, or session where reasonably necessary for functionality, analytics, personalization, safety, or fraud prevention.
Automatically collected information may include:
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, screen characteristics, carrier, and settings.
- Identifiers, such as account ID, installation ID, session ID, push-notification token, IP address, and, where permitted, advertising or vendor identifiers.
- Usage data, such as screens viewed, posts displayed or watched, watch time, searches, follows, saves, taps, clicks, comments, Lights, gifts, session bookings, feature use, and referral source.
- Diagnostics, such as crash reports, error logs, loading time, battery or memory events, call-quality statistics, and security events.
- Network and integrity signals, such as connection type, approximate region derived from IP address, suspicious login patterns, device-attestation results, and indicators of automated or abusive activity.
10.Location Information and Device Permissions
Tela may infer a general area, such as country, region, or city, from an IP address to localize content, apply regional rules, prevent fraud, and improve service delivery. This is generally less precise than GPS-based location.
Tela does not require precise location for basic community use. If Tela offers a location-tagging, local-discovery, or similar feature and you choose to use it, we may request access to precise or approximate device location. We collect that information only after the operating system presents a permission request and you grant access.
Depending on the features you use, Tela may also request access to the camera, microphone, photo library, or notifications. Camera and microphone access supports content creation, creator verification, and video sessions. Photo-library access supports uploads and saving media. Notification permission supports account, safety, creator, transaction, and engagement alerts.
You may change permissions in device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working but will not remove access to unrelated functions.
11.Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies
Tela and its providers may use cookies, software development kits, local storage, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure use, diagnose errors, secure the Services, attribute downloads, and evaluate communications or campaigns.
Some technologies are essential for authentication, security, purchases, and service operation. Others, such as non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, may depend on consent or an opt-out right in your region.
If Tela or a partner engages in tracking as defined by Apple's platform rules, Tela will request permission through App Tracking Transparency before accessing the advertising identifier or linking app data with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement. Declining tracking permission will not prevent use of the core Services.
You can manage available choices through in-app privacy settings, device settings, browser controls, or the consent interface presented in your region. Blocking all cookies may affect website functionality.
12.Information Received from Other Sources
Tela may receive information from third parties when you choose to connect a service, sign in through an identity provider, make a purchase through an app marketplace, receive a creator payout, share content to Tela, or interact with Tela through another platform.
These sources may include Apple or other sign-in providers, app marketplaces, payment and payout processors, identity-verification providers, anti-fraud services, communications providers, analytics partners, content licensors, rights holders, other users, and public sources.
The information received depends on your settings and the third party's policies and may include an account identifier, email relay address, profile information, purchase confirmation, payout status, verification result, fraud signal, or report about content or conduct. We process this information consistently with this Policy and any feature-specific notice.
13.How Tela Uses Personal Information
Tela uses personal information for the purposes described below and only where a lawful basis is available. The information used for a purpose depends on the feature and your choices.
- Provide and operate accounts, profiles, feeds, publishing tools, comments, follows, saves, Lights, gifts, creator sessions, purchases, balances, and payouts.
- Authenticate users, verify creators, enforce the adult-only requirement, prevent impersonation, and protect account integrity.
- Personalize feeds, creator suggestions, search results, notifications, and language or regional experiences.
- Process transactions, confirm entitlements, calculate creator earnings, handle refunds or disputes, and maintain required financial records.
- Moderate content and conduct, investigate reports, enforce the Terms and Community Guidelines, detect abuse, and protect users or the public.
- Measure performance, diagnose errors, test features, understand community use, and improve accessibility, reliability, and product design.
- Communicate about account activity, security, purchases, creator status, sessions, policy updates, customer support, and, where permitted, product news.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend legal claims, and perform corporate, audit, and risk-management activities.
14.Personalization, Recommendations, and Automated Systems
Tela may use information about the posts you view, watch, like, save, comment on, Light Up, or hide; creators you follow; searches; language; region; account activity; and content characteristics to organize feeds and recommend posts or creators.
Recommendation and moderation systems may use automated models to predict relevance, detect spam, identify potentially harmful or infringing material, prioritize reports, or protect account security. These systems can make mistakes. Where appropriate, human reviewers may examine flagged content, account activity, appeals, and contextual information.
Tela does not use raw identity documents, selfies, facial templates, or private video-session content to personalize feeds or target advertising. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing unless permitted by law and accompanied by required safeguards.
You may influence recommendations by adjusting interests, following or unfollowing creators, hiding content, clearing available history, or using other controls provided in the Services. Where applicable law grants a right to object to profiling or request human review, you may contact us.
15.Legal Bases for Processing
Where laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation require a legal basis, Tela relies on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract, including creating your account, delivering posts and creator sessions, processing purchases, and providing creator tools.
- Legitimate interests, including improving the Services, recommending relevant content, preventing fraud and abuse, securing accounts, moderating UGC, communicating about the Services, and protecting legal rights, balanced against your rights and expectations.
- Consent, including for optional device permissions, certain cookies or tracking, marketing communications, and sensitive or biometric processing where consent is required. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Compliance with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, sanctions, payment, child-safety, law-enforcement, and regulatory requirements.
- Protection of vital interests or tasks in the public interest where permitted, such as responding to an urgent and credible threat to a person's safety.
16.How We Share Personal Information
Tela does not disclose personal information indiscriminately. We may share information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to contractual, technical, and legal safeguards. Recipient categories may include:
- Other users and the public, when you publish content, display a profile, comment, send visible support, or use a feature designed for sharing.
- Service providers that host data, deliver media, support real-time communications, process verification, provide analytics, send notifications, moderate content, prevent fraud, support customers, or provide professional services.
- App marketplaces, payment processors, payout providers, financial institutions, and tax or compliance vendors involved in purchases and creator earnings.
- Identity and safety partners used to verify adults and creators, detect impersonation, investigate abuse, or respond to safety incidents.
- Corporate affiliates, where they follow protections consistent with this Policy and process information for the purposes described here.
- Authorities, courts, counterparties, and other persons described in Section 17.
We do not sell raw identity documents, facial verification materials, private creator-session content, or account credentials. Tela does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Some disclosures for advertising or analytics may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under certain laws; where applicable, we provide required notice and opt-out choices.
Tela selects providers to support hosting, storage, content delivery, real-time video, authentication, verification, moderation, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, notifications, payments, payouts, fraud prevention, and professional services. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for their assigned purpose and are subject to contractual restrictions where they act on Tela's behalf.
Some third parties, such as app marketplaces, banks, payout companies, or identity providers, may independently determine how they process information for regulated or account-based services. Their privacy notices govern that independent processing. The presence of a provider category in this Policy does not mean that every provider or data type is used for every user.
17.Legal Disclosures, Safety, and Business Transfers
Tela may preserve, access, or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, or a binding governmental request; enforce agreements; investigate fraud or security incidents; protect the rights, property, or safety of Tela, users, creators, or the public; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We review governmental and law-enforcement requests for facial validity, legal basis, scope, and jurisdiction. Where lawful and appropriate, we may narrow or challenge overbroad requests. We may notify an affected user unless prohibited by law or doing so would create a risk of harm or compromise an investigation.
If Tela is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction. The recipient will be required to handle information consistently with applicable law, and users will receive notice of material changes where required.
18.Public Visibility, Other Users, and External Services
Information shared publicly on Tela can be viewed, copied, downloaded, commented on, or reshared by others. Even after you delete public content or an account, copies controlled by other people, search engines, archival services, or external websites may remain beyond Tela's control.
When you interact with a creator or another user, that person receives information inherent in the interaction, such as your display name, profile, comment, Light or gift activity shown by the feature, and creator-session participation. Users process information they receive for their own purposes and must comply with law and Tela's rules.
The Services may contain links to websites, creator pages, or third-party services that Tela does not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before providing information or leaving Tela.
19.Data Retention
Tela retains personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing the Services, maintaining security and integrity, satisfying legal or accounting obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and context.
In determining retention, we consider the duration of the account or creator relationship, whether information is needed to provide an active feature, the sensitivity and volume of the information, potential risk from continued storage, applicable limitation periods, legal preservation duties, and whether the information can be aggregated or de-identified.
Typical retention principles include:
- Account and profile information is generally retained while the account is active and for a limited period after closure to complete deletion, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
- Published UGC is retained until you delete it or close the account, subject to backup cycles, reports, appeals, legal holds, safety investigations, and copies shared by others.
- Private video-session media is not recorded or retained by default; session metadata and transaction records are retained as needed for delivery, safety, disputes, accounting, and fraud prevention.
- Purchase, payout, tax, and accounting records may be retained for the period required by applicable financial, tax, and audit laws.
- Raw creator-verification materials are kept only through verification and a limited review, security, or appeal period, unless longer retention is legally required or necessary for a documented fraud investigation.
- Security logs, reports, enforcement records, and evidence may be retained for a reasonable period after account closure to prevent repeat abuse and protect users.
- Backups are isolated from ordinary use and deleted or overwritten according to scheduled backup cycles unless subject to a legal hold.
When information is no longer required, Tela deletes it, de-identifies it, or isolates it from further use until secure deletion is possible. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for research, analytics, safety, and service improvement.
20.Security Safeguards
Tela uses administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. Measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, environment separation, credential protections, logging, monitoring, provider reviews, incident-response procedures, and staff confidentiality obligations.
Sensitive verification and payment-related information is subject to additional access limitations and purpose restrictions. Service providers are required by contract to protect information and process it only for authorized purposes, where applicable.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password where a password is offered, protecting access to your device and account, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized activity. Tela will provide legally required notices if a personal-data breach is likely to create a qualifying risk.
21.International Data Transfers
Tela serves a global adult community. Personal information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, including locations where Tela, its affiliates, or service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Where required, Tela uses recognized transfer safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the United Kingdom International Data Transfer Addendum or other approved mechanisms, together with supplementary technical and organizational measures where appropriate.
You may contact service@tela.love to request information about the transfer mechanism relevant to your personal information, subject to confidentiality and security limitations.
22.Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to access personal information, obtain a copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures, limit the use of sensitive information, and appeal a denied request.
You may exercise available rights through in-app account or privacy controls, by deleting content or changing permissions, or by emailing service@tela.love. We may ask you to verify control of the account or provide information reasonably necessary to protect against fraudulent requests. An authorized agent may act where permitted, but we may require proof of authority and direct confirmation from the user.
Tela will respond within the period required by applicable law. If a request is unusually complex or numerous, we may extend the response period where permitted and explain the reason. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right, although some features cannot operate without information that is necessary to provide them.
A request may be limited or refused where an exception applies, such as protecting another person's rights, preserving security, complying with law, retaining transaction records, or establishing legal claims. Where required, we will explain the decision and available appeal or regulatory complaint options.
23.Your Choices and Controls
Tela provides controls intended to help you manage information and participation. Available controls may vary by platform, region, account type, and feature.
- Profile and content controls: edit profile fields, delete posts or comments, manage follows and saves, and select available visibility settings.
- Recommendation controls: follow or unfollow creators, hide posts, adjust interests, and clear or manage available search and viewing history.
- Communication controls: manage push notifications in the app or device settings and unsubscribe from optional marketing email using the link in the message. Service, security, and transaction messages may still be sent.
- Permission controls: revoke camera, microphone, photo-library, location, or notification access through device settings.
- Tracking and advertising controls: respond to the platform permission prompt and use available in-app, device, or regional privacy choices.
- Safety controls: block accounts, report content or conduct, and manage creator-session availability where the feature is offered.
24.Account Deletion and Withdrawal of Consent
You may request account deletion through the account settings or other in-app deletion path made available by Tela. If you cannot access the account, email service@tela.love from the address associated with the account and request deletion.
Before deletion, we may require authentication, resolve pending purchases or payouts, and provide information about content or balances that cannot be recovered. Deletion removes or de-identifies account information from active systems, subject to backup cycles and limited retention for fraud prevention, safety, tax, accounting, disputes, and legal obligations.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If consent is necessary for creator verification, precise location, camera, microphone, or another optional feature, withdrawing it may disable that feature. You may delete individual UGC without closing the entire account, subject to any active investigation, legal hold, or rights of other users.
25.Children's Privacy, CSAE, and Child Safety
Tela is an adults-only service and does not knowingly permit users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for ordinary use of the Services. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will take reasonable steps to restrict access, preserve information only where required for safety or law, and delete the account and associated data.
Tela has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Prohibited conduct includes grooming, sexual solicitation of a minor, sextortion, trafficking, attempts to arrange sexual contact with a minor, sexualized depiction of a minor, and the creation, possession, sharing, promotion, or distribution of child sexual abuse material, or CSAM, including synthetic or manipulated material where prohibited.
We may use age-assurance measures, automated detection, hashing or matching technologies made available by qualified safety organizations, trained human review, reporting tools, account restrictions, and evidence-preservation procedures to identify and address suspected CSAE or CSAM. Access to highly sensitive child-safety evidence is limited to authorized personnel and retained only as required for investigation, reporting, legal obligations, and user protection.
Where we become aware of apparent CSAM or other conduct that triggers a legal reporting duty, Tela may report the matter and relevant account or technical information to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, law-enforcement authorities, or other competent child-safety bodies as required or permitted by law. We may suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice when necessary to protect children or preserve an investigation.
Users should immediately report suspected CSAE, CSAM, grooming, or underage use through in-app reporting tools and may also contact service@tela.love. Do not download, forward, or redistribute suspected illegal material when reporting it. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
26.UGC Moderation, Copyright, and Enforcement Records
Tela may analyze, review, restrict, label, remove, preserve, or disclose UGC and associated account information to enforce the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, intellectual property rules, safety standards, and applicable law. Moderation may consider the content itself, captions, audio, context, engagement patterns, prior violations, user reports, device or network signals, and information submitted in an appeal.
Users must upload only content they have the right to share and must respect privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, and other rights. Rights holders or authorized representatives may submit notices through the designated reporting channel. We may share the notice, including relevant contact information, with the affected user where required for a fair notice-and-appeal process or by law.
Enforcement records may include reported content, report category, reporter and subject account identifiers, moderator notes, automated signals, decisions, appeals, and evidence needed to prevent repeat violations. We limit access and retain these records according to risk, legal requirements, limitation periods, and the need to defend decisions.
Reporters and reported users may not always receive detailed information about an investigation where disclosure would compromise privacy, safety, security, confidential systems, or another person's rights.
27.Marketing, Advertising, and No Sale for Money
Tela may use contact and account information to send service announcements and, where permitted, optional news about features, creator programs, or promotions. You may unsubscribe from marketing email, but cannot opt out of essential security, transaction, policy, and account notices.
If advertising is displayed, Tela may use contextual information, such as general region, language, or the content being viewed, and may use consented identifiers or activity for personalized advertising where permitted. Tela does not use identity documents, facial verification materials, private video-session content, or information known to relate to a minor for advertising.
Tela does not sell personal information for money. Certain disclosures involving advertising, measurement, or analytics may be treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some laws. Where such processing applies, we provide a method to opt out and honor legally recognized preference signals where required and technically feasible.
Tela does not provide financial incentives in exchange for permission to sell personal information unless a separate, legally compliant notice explains the material terms and value calculation.
28.Regional Privacy Disclosures
The rights and disclosures in this section supplement the remainder of this Policy. They apply only where the relevant law covers Tela's processing and do not limit broader rights provided elsewhere.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Users in these regions may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a supervisory authority. Section 15 describes the principal legal bases and Section 21 describes transfer safeguards. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may request information about the balancing assessment.
California and Other United States States
Depending on residency and legal thresholds, users may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and appeal a decision. The categories collected may include identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, audio-visual information, professional or creator information, inferences, and sensitive information such as account credentials, identity documents, financial details, or biometric information when creator verification requires it.
Tela collects these categories from users, devices, service providers, app marketplaces, verification and payment partners, other users, and public sources for the purposes in Section 13. We may disclose them to the recipient categories in Sections 16 and 17. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of users under 18 because the Services do not permit minors.
Brazil and Other Jurisdictions
Where applicable law provides additional rights, such as confirmation of processing, information about recipients, anonymization, blocking, deletion, consent review, or review of automated decisions, Tela will honor those rights subject to lawful exceptions. Users may contact the competent data-protection authority in their jurisdiction if they remain dissatisfied after contacting Tela.
29.Changes to This Privacy Policy
Tela may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features, operational changes, legal requirements, safety practices, or improvements in how we explain data processing. The Effective Date at the beginning of the Policy identifies the current version.
If a change materially affects your rights or how personal information is used, we will provide notice appropriate to the significance of the change, such as an in-app message, account notice, email, or prominent website notice. Where law requires consent for a new purpose, we will request it before the new processing begins.
We encourage you to review the Policy periodically. Continued use after an update takes effect means the updated Policy applies to subsequent processing, except where applicable law requires a different form of acceptance.
